More Details

This is week 22 of in the FPL and some players/teams will be playing two games (double game week), giving you the opportunity to pick up extra points and we will try to guide you through, giving you more options. Like they say, information is the key and this is very true for Fantasy Premier League, so let’s take a look at the top performers from last week.

LATEST POSTS

West Ham striker, Jarrod Bowen was one the highest point earners from the previous week, which was due the fact that the Hammers played two matches, beating Crystal Palace 3-2 away from home and Norwich at home 2-0 with Bowen scoring the two goals against Norwich while grabbing an assist against Crystal Palace to get 21 base points, meaning if you triple captained him, you get a whopping 63 points in total.

Manuel Lanzini, also of West Ham wasn’t to be left out as he got 18 points from two matches, after scoring a brace against Crystal Palace. Another player who amassed plenty of points was

Tottenham defender, Davidson Sanchez, who scored the only goal away to Watford to give his team all three points. He was able to help his team keep a clean sheet and also scored the only goal to amass 15 points, massive points for a defender.

Brighton midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister was also not left out as he also got 15 points. He scored two goals to help his side defeat Everton 3-2 and grab all three points while Everton midfielder, Anthony Gordon got 14 points, scoring his side’s two goals in the home loss to Brighton.

Special mentions to West Ham defender, Vladimir Coufal, who got an assist and also a clean sheet against Norwich to get 12 points and also Joao Moutinho of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for posting a clean sheet.

As earlier stated, some teams will be playing two matches and they offer us the opportunity to take advantage of this as teams like Chelsea, Leicester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be playing twice this week.

In picking players for the week 22, one should keep an eye out for the quality of opponents that the chosen players will be facing and most importantly, if they will be available for selection as the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold, Son Heung Min, Eric Diet, Armando Broja are either out with injury or not fully fit and their availability is not 100% assured. The African contingent who are presently participating at the AFCON must also be factored in while selecting players.

Manchester United will be playing two matches this week (Aston Villa and Brentford) and with the team looking to get back in the top four race, Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be at the centre of anything good that will be happening to the Red Devils this week and you will be forgiven if you even give him your captain band as he tends to step up when it matters the most, scoring some important goals.

Another player that is most likely to shine is Youri Tielemans of Leicester, who has been relatively quiet in the past few weeks. With games against Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur coming up and with Wlfred Ndidi playing at AFCON, Tielemans will be saddled with the midfield responsibilities for Leicester and he will most likely grab the opportunity with both hands to remind everyone of his qualities.

Davidson Sanchez will be in action for Tottenham as they face Arsenal and Leicester and he would be relied upon to help marshal the defense and keep another clean sheet, possibly two and might even pop up with another goal at the other end.

One should keep an eye out for Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea striker, who will be keen to redeem himself after weeks of bad press. James Madison of Leicester and Mason Greenwood are also most likely to have their say too.
