There were no major upsets and only a handful of competitive contests across the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup over the long weekend, as top-tier sides largely asserted their dominance.

More Details

Holders Chelsea eased past WSL2 outfit Crystal Palace with a commanding 5–0 victory on Saturday, while Sunday saw WSL leaders Manchester City dismantle third-tier AFC Bournemouth 6–0.

Liverpool, bottom of the Women’s Super League, also enjoyed a confidence-boosting afternoon as they recorded a 6–0 win over fourth-tier London Bees.

Elsewhere, Division One South West side Swindon Town were heavily beaten by WSL2 leaders Charlton Athletic, while Hull City of the Northern Premier struggled against promotion-chasing Birmingham City, conceding five goals.

Despite the dominance of higher-ranked teams, there will be non-WSL representation in the fifth round.

Chatham Town of Division One South East secured a historic 3–0 win over York City, with both clubs bidding to reach the fifth round for the first time.

Oxford United of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier also impressed, staging a late comeback to defeat Middlesbrough 3–1 and book their place in the next round.
