FIFPRO Announces Date For 2023 Women’s Best11 And Ineligible Players

The body in charge of professional footballers across the world, FIFPRO has announced the date for the 2023 Women’s FIFPRO Best11.

The Best11 will be revealed on January 15, 2024, at the FIFA The Best Awards in London.

Squad lists will be dropped on January 3, 2024.

A few of the big names are ineligible for the Best 11 based on insufficient matches played within the period due to injury.

Women's players according to FIFPRO must have appeared in at least 25 official matches (at domestic top flight or international level) during the period from August 1, 2022, to August 20, 2023, inclusive.

The top ineligible players for the FIFPRO World 11 include Alexia Putellas, Zecira Musovic, Alanna Kennedy, Beth Mead, Ellie Carpenter, and Vivianne Miedema.

FIFPRO during the 2023 CAF Awards this month named its maiden CAF FIFPRO XI.

Five players from South Africa; Andile Dlamini, Bambani Mbane, Lebohang Ramalepe, Linda Motlhalo, and Refiloe Jane made the Best XI.

Nigeria has three players; Michelle Alozie, Osinachi Ohale, and Asisat Oshoala in the squad.

Other players include Fatima Tagnaout (Morocco), Barbara Banda (Zambia), and Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi).
