Filippa Angeldahl Pens Two-Year Deal With Manchester City

Barclays English FA Women Super League (WSL) side, Manchester City Football Club has announced the signing of Swedish international Filippa Angeldahl on a two-year deal with an option of a further year, subject to international clearance.

The Uppsala-born midfielder joins from Swedish Damallsvenskan champions, BK Häcken.
The 24-year-old has spent the entirety of her career so far playing Sweden for Vaksala SK, IK Sirius, AIK, Hammarby – where she was awarded the Damallsvenskan Most Valuable Player in 2017 – and Linköpings FC.
On the international stage, she has represented Sweden at senior level since 2018, with a total of 15 caps so far including six at the recent Tokyo Olympic Games where she helped her country to a silver medal, playing 75 minutes in the gold medal match against Canada.
Speaking about her move on the Club website, she said: “I am very excited to join Manchester City. It’s a huge club and I can’t wait to start working with the team.
