And it looked like the Bavarians were going to steal the player right from the thumbs of Spurs, but it looks like the player has chosen Spurs over Bayern, and the 21-year-old will undergo his medical with Spurs today.
The Romanian defender is set to join Tottenham on a permanent €31m transfer, including add-ons, reports in Italy claim. Bayern Munich had outbid Spurs on Tuesday evening by offering €25m plus €6m add-ons, but Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano are now reporting that the Premier League side matched Bayern Munich’s offer on today, sealing the deal with Genoa.

According to Italian transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, Dragusin will fly to London on Wednesday morning to undergo his medical with Ange Postecoglou’s side. He is set to undergo his medical, and will earn around €3m per season in North London, signing a contract until June 2029.
The report claims Dragusin will sign a contract until June 2029. A Juventus Academy graduate, Dragusin joined Genoa on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €5.5 in 2022 after loan spells at Sampdoria and Salernitana. He has scored two goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season, including that equalizer against Inter Milan in December to earn his team a point against the Serie A League leaders.
According to the same report, the two clubs will also finalise Djed Spence’s loan move to the Stadio Marassi today. The versatile English defender has just returned from a six-month loan spell at Leeds United, where he played seven games in the English Championship.

West Ham are reportedly interested in Genoa striker Gudmundsson and have made a ‘concrete’ approach with Il Grifone to sign the Iceland international in the January transfer window. However, Genoa didn’t even listen to the offer from East London as they’ve just agreed to sell Dragusin to Tottenham.
Gudmundsson is Genoa’s leading scorer this season with ten goals and three assists in 19 Serie A games and has been included in Opta’s best XI for the first part of the campaign. The 26-year-old has recently signed a new deal with Genoa to extend his stay at the Stadio Ferraris until June 2027, but he’s probably going to leave the club in the coming summer transfer window if he keeps up with his current performance for the club with AC Milan also monitoring him.
