Following the incident that happened during the Serie A match between Inter Milan and Napoli on Sunday, it has been announced that Anntonio Conte has received a two-game ban in Serie A and a €15,000 fine after receiving a red card in an away game at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.
More Details
On Sunday, Conte lost his temper in the second half after Inter were awarded a penalty kick with a VAR check and the Napoli boss kicked a ball from the touchline, which caused his sending off, but before leaving the pitch, he threw a bottle to the ground and angrily shouted in the face of the fourth official.

For the reigning Serie A champions, they will soon return to the field once again when they play Parma at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium tomorrow in a rescheduled Week 16 fixture, a game that had to be postponed while they were in Saudi Arabia, playing in the Supercoppa Italiana.
Furthermore, they’ll meet Sassuolo next, next weekend, on Saturday, also at home and Conte will not be the only one serving out a suspension. Fiorentina’s Paolo Vanoli and Cremonese’s Davide Nicola were also sent off during the latest Serie A round, but only received a one-game ban.
Meanwhile, Lecce defender Enilive Gaspar has received a three-game ban, while Nicolò Cambiaghi (Bologna) will miss the next two for violent conduct. The others who have been suspended for a game are Lameck Banda (Lecce), Antonio Caracciolo (Pisa), Juan Jesus (Napoli), Giuseppe Pezzella (Cremonese), Ylber Ramadani (Lecce) and Nicolò Zaniolo (Udinese).
In a related development, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, the Naples-based club have reached an agreement with the agents of João Gomes for next season, but the Partenopei still need to strike a deal with Wolves for the player and that may prove to be very difficult.
The Partenopei have reached an agreement with the midfielder for a transfer to the club in the next summer transfer window as their director, Giovanni Manna is a big admirer of the Brazilian, so he has moved quickly to book a move for next summer.
João Gomes, however, has a long-term contract with Wolves, given that his deal expires in 2030 and even includes an option to extend for another year and this means that Napoli must negotiate with the English club if they really want to get their target but it’s not as easy as it sounds.
They’re currently under a transfer embargo, which means that they will have to sell a player if they’re to be able to afford the player. On the other hand, Napoli have made several purchases from the Premier League in recent years, including André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Billy Gilmour, Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund.

Hence, they will be hoping to replicate that again with this particular move, but a sacrifice in the transfer market might be required to make it happen. João Gomes joined Wolves from Flamengo in an €18.7m deal in 2023 and he has provided one assist in 24 appearances across all competitions this season.
