Goalkeeper Itzel Gonzalez Joins Sevilla

Spanish Primera Iberdrola side, Sevilla have announced the signing of goalkeeper, Itzel Gonzalez from Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles Club.

The goalie will remain with Sevilla FC Women until the end of the season.

Sevilla FC and the Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles Club have reached an agreement for the loan of the Mexican international goalkeeper Iztel González.

The Tijuana soccer player began her career at Arizona Strikers FC back in 2014, later joining Club Tijuana in the first stage and then in 2016 at Los Angeles Salsa.

González has played 129 matches with ‘Xolos’ since she arrived in the 2017 Apertura tournament, which marked the start of the ‘Liga MX Femenil’.

The goalkeeper was the starter in most of the matches, also being called up by the Mexican team at the hands of the coach Mónica Vergara.

Precisely as far as the national team is concerned, she stood out in the U-20 World Cup held in Japan in 2012, as well as in the 2020 Olympic Qualifiers in the United States.

Sevilla FC incorporates into its ranks a young goalkeeper, but contrasted within her country, being the second goalkeeper to arrive in Nervión from the Aztec territory after Pamela Tajonar, currently in the ranks of Villarreal CF.
