“God Has A Plan” — Crystal Palace’s Guehi Unfazed By Failed Liverpool Switch
Crystal Palace center-back Marc Guehi, who scored a late winner in their 2-1 victory over Fulham on Sunday, has dismissed any anxiety regarding the ongoing speculation about his transfer future, which includes reported interest from Liverpool.
More Details
Despite the fact he was close to joining Liverpool during the summer transfer window before his move fell through, and with the January window approaching, the defender told Sky Sports he is maintaining his composure regarding the rumors.

Guehi’s attitude will be a relief to manager Oliver Glasner, who managed to keep the key England player in his squad after the summer window closed.
“I know that God has a plan for me, and whatever that plan will be, will come into fruition at some point. “But, the goal and the focus has always been playing football and trying to do the best I can” Guehi said.
Marc Guéhi, 25, is nearing the end of his contract with Crystal Palace, meaning the club risks losing him on a free transfer when the current season concludes.
Despite interest from other clubs, a strong case exists for Guéhi to finish the season at Palace. A mid-season move, particularly to a club facing instability, could negatively impact his goal of securing a starting position for the England World Cup squad.

Liverpool, who are currently ninth in the table but only three points behind fourth-placed Palace, are cited as an example of a potentially unstable destination.
The situation at Liverpool is uncertain due to recent public criticism from star player Mohamed Salah directed at manager Arne Slot, fueling speculation about the future of both individuals. Moving to a team with internal discord or one that has just sacked its coach could harm Guéhi’s immediate career.
Furthermore, Palace offers an attractive short-term prospect: they are considered contenders to win the Conference League. Following their FA Cup victory last season, Guéhi could achieve a “dream ending” to his tenure at Selhurst Park by lifting European silverware with the London club.
