After losing Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool, they’ve brought in James Milner and Mohamed Dahoud from Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund respectively and now, they’re looking at Inter Milan midfielder, Kristjan Asllani. The 21yrs old joined the Italian club last summer after making his breakthrough at Empoli.

The Albanian had struggled for consistency and playing time during his first season at the club, but he’s set to feature more prominently this coming season after the club sold Marcelo Brozovic.

According to a new report from England, Brighton are keeping tabs on the young midfielder with their manager, Roberto De Zerbi said to be a big fan of his from his days at Empoli, while the manager was in charge of Sassuolo. The report further reported that the Italian manager had already made contact with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio back in June concerning the Albanian starlet.

The Seagulls are trying to understand if a transfer would be possible. However, the source believes that only a substantial offer could tempt Inter to part ways with the former Empoli man. So if Brighton truly want to sign Asllani, they must splash a considerable amount of cash.

The source adds that despite the imminent arrival of Lazar Samardzic, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is still planning to count on Asllani. He has been really impressive during the team’s pre-season games so far, so is expected to get more minutes at the club.

Meanwhile…

The Nerazzurri may have to worry about the threat posed by fellow Italian side, Atalanta for West Ham striker, Gianluca Scammacca as the La Dea are prepared to pay the €30m fee set by the Hammers for the former Sassuolo striker.

Atalanta recently sold Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United for a fee believed to be around €85m and despite signing El Bilal Toure, they’re still in the hunt for further reinforcement and would have no problem paying the required for the Inter Milan target.

For now, the Hammers would be wary of dealing with Atalanta because a deal rhat would take Scammacca away from Inter would mean that the Nerazzurri would immediately turn their attention towards Arsenal striker, Folarin Balogun, who is also a transfer target for the EPL side.

After seeing their €25m offer rejected, the Nerazzurri have reportedly made a new offer, €24m plus €4m in add-ons, just €1m shy of West Ham asking price. Next week would determine how the transfer would unfold.
