Gotham FC’s 2026 calendar is quickly filling up, with the reigning Concacaf W Champions Cup winners confirming participation in two major international tournaments — all while preparing for another deep run in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) playoffs this November.
More Details
Following their continental triumph, FIFA has officially announced that Gotham will face Brazilian giants Corinthians at next year’s inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, marking a new era for global women’s club football.
At the same time, the New Jersey-based side has advanced to the semifinals of this season’s Concacaf W Champions Cup, setting up a highly anticipated rematch with Liga MX Femenil’s Club América in March 2026.
A Global Stage for the Women’s Game
The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, set to kick off on January 28 in London, will bring together continental champions from around the world as a precursor to the expanded Women’s Club World Cup, scheduled for 2028.
On Gotham’s side of the bracket, the North and South American champions will battle for a ticket to the Club World Cup.
Across the draw, UEFA Champions League winners Arsenal will face either China’s Wuhan Jiangda or the eventual winners of Africa’s CAF Women’s Champions League.
The tournament will feature semifinals, a third-place playoff, and a final, all played over a weeklong showcase designed to highlight the sport’s accelerating global growth.

Balancing Glory and Grind
While Gotham celebrates its growing international profile, the club also faces the challenge of balancing an increasingly crowded schedule.
With postseason ambitions at home and multiple trophies abroad, managing form, fatigue, and focus will be crucial in the months ahead.
Gotham’s rise from domestic contenders to global representatives reflects both the rapid evolution of women’s club football and the club’s determination to stay at the heart of it.
