The team played a decisive game in their World Cup qualifying campaign against Costa Rica on Wednesday night. He scored an exquisite goal which gave the team a 2-1 victory over Costa Rica that put them back on the path to qualifying
USA coach Gregg Berhalter spoke about Dest and his talent after the game.
“Sergino is an interesting player because it’s almost like the sky’s the limit for him,” he said.
“He can be as good as he wants to be and you saw today with his attacking play. It’s unreal. With him and Yunus [Musah] on the side together, and Brenden [Aaronson], it’s very difficult to deal with for the opponent.
“But, for Serge, it’s just hanging in there mentally, really pushing himself to be the best when he’s on the field. And I think in these moments again, we’re forgetting how young of a player he is. A lot of times, defenders rely on experience, and he just needs to gain experience.
The United States and Barcelona will need a Dest that continues to grow and play so well in the future. He’s young so we can expect inconsistent performances, but the talent is clearly there and up front he’s a dreamer.

Manchester City and England striker, Raheem Sterling says he is open to a transfer abroad amid speculation he is wanted at Camp Nou by Barcelona
It has been speculated that the Catalan giants could move to Sterling in January, initially on loan, and that the 26-year-old is ‘crazy’ to join the Catalan giants.
Sterling has now raised the possibility of a decision with comments that could fuel speculation about his future.
The Englishman has struggled for playing time at City this season, making just two Premier League starts, but has made it clear he wants to play regularly.
