Guardiola Praises Team Despite Defeat

Written By Jacobs Dunga

Manchester City lost in the community shield by a lone goal after Ake clumsily brought down Iheanacho in the penalty area before the Nigeria striker slotted home from 12 yards.

However, Guardiola is unfazed by the loss and has instead given credit to his team for their second half display against the foxes. Man City controlled most of the proceedings with Leicester sitting back and trying on counter from deep. Guardiola is therefore more concerned about the positives from where they can move and get better.

He was magnanimous in defeat and praised the consistency of Leicester since they last won the league.
