Gyokeres Hits Back At Sporting CP President Amid Arsenal, Manchester United Links

In the last two seasons, the Sweden international scored 97 goals in 102 competitive games, helping Sporting win the Taca de Portugal and two Primeira Liga titles.
Due to his outstanding goalkeeping performance, Gyokeres has been linked to teams like Arsenal and Manchester United.
A dispute over the player’s asking price seems to have strained Gyokeres and Sporting’s relationship in recent days.
According to earlier rumours, Sporting CP and Gyokeres reached a gentleman’s agreement to sell him for €60 million (£51 million) plus €10 million (£8.5 million) in add-ons.

Despite reports that Gyokeres is prepared to go on strike in order to compel his exit, Sporting president Frederico Varandas has maintained that he “never promised” that arrangement.
In reaction to the recent rumours and discussions about his future, the 27-year-old has now resorted to social media to make a firm stance.
Gyokeres wrote the following in an Instagram message: “There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it false. I will speak when the time is right.”
