Hedda Johansson Extends Contact With AIK

Swedish Dammalsvenskan side, AIK Fotboll has agreed with defender Hedda Johansson on a three-year contract that extends over the 2024 season.

Hedda made her debut for the women’s team in 2021 when there were four matches in the Damallsvenskan for her.
“It is with great pride that we raise another player from our academy to the senior team. During the year, Hedda has trained with us and also made her debut in the Damallsvenskan. A modern full-back in the making who is strong in running and dueling and she does not lack a bit of a winning mentality”, says the women’s team manager Anne Mäkinen on the club website.
“It feels great. I grew up in AIK and now I want to give back to the club that helped me with so much. There is something good going on here and I have felt it all year. Skytteholm is my second home and I am happy that it will continue to be so”, says Hedda Johansson.
In December 2021, AIK Football and Hedda Johansson agreed on a three-year contract and she will play in jersey number 12, which was last worn by Ema Paljevic.

In 2019, Hedda was selected for the District Team F04, which played under the leadership of the Stockholm Football Association. Among other things, she participated in the Development Camp in Halmstad which was led by the national team captain Pär Lagerström between 23 and 28 June 2019, and there were also games in two training matches during the year, against Hammarby F17 at Skytteholms IP on 13 March 2019 and against Distriktslaget F03 at Solberga BP on October 9, 2019. In July 2019, the Swedish Football Association announced through the national team captain Pär Lagerström which 44 players were selected for the first national team camp for the F15 / 04 national team which was held on Bosön 5-8 August 2019 and Hedda Johansson was one of the selected. In June 2021, Hedda was taken to a national team camp for players born in 2004 which was held in Gothenburg 11-15 July 2021. She was also to join the F17 national team in September 2021, but a broken arm forced her to resign.

17-year-old Hedda Johansson, born on Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Huddinge Hospital and raised in Hägersten, started playing football in the mother club IFK Aspudden-Tellus when she was six years old.
In 2015, she left the parent club for AIK and started playing with the F04 team and then went from the academy up to the junior team.
In 2016, AIK’s F04s played in Gothia Cup’s F12 class and AIK won group 1 after, among other things, a goal by Hedda Johansson, but fell in the quarterfinals against Saltsjö-Boo IF (2-3) at Åbyvallen in Mölndal on July 21, 2016, In 2017, they were back in the Gothia cup, this time in the F13 class.
AIK won group 3 but fell for the second year in a row in the quarterfinals. This time it was the American Marin FC who became too difficult and won 2-0 at Slottskogsvallen in Gothenburg on July 20, 2017.
The debut for AIK’s F19 team took place at home against Sundsvalls DFF (9–0) in Svenska Spel F19 Norra on 1 September 2019 when she played in jersey number 8. She was joined in the match squad by three players who are now A-team players; Rosa Kafaji, Piyatida Somkumpee, and goalkeeper Serina Backmark. She played another match with them during the year.
In 2020, there were seven matches for the F19 team in the league game and she accounted for one goal, away against IK Uppsala Fotboll (3-4) on 19 August 2020 when she reduced the scoreline to 2-3 in the 79th minute of the match. In the autumn of 2020, there were also games in two matches with the F17 team in the SM finals; away against Sollentuna FK (2-0) in the round of 16 in front of 160 spectators at Norrviken IP on October 3, 2020, and away against Umeå IK FF (1-2) in the semifinals in front of 50 spectators at Umeå Energi Arena SOL on October 18, 2020.
In 2021 played Hedda four matches in Svenska Spel F19 Norra. In the spring of 2021, Hedda started training with the A-team alongside the F19 activities. The first time Hedda Johansson was selected in the women’s team’s match squad was at home against Hammarby (2–2) in the Damallsvenskan on May 8, 2021, when she sat on the bench in jersey number 13 throughout the match.
After three matches on the bench, in the home meeting with FC Rosengård (0-7) on May 29, 2021, it was time for a debut both in the women’s team and in the Damallsvenskan. Hedda started on the bench in jersey number 18 under the leadership of manager Anne Mäkinen and head coach Maiju Ruotsalainen and replaced Rosa Kafaji in the 91st minute of the match.
Three more entries in the Damallsvenskan followed during the year; away against BK Häcken FF (0–10) on 20 June 2021, at home against Eskilstuna United DFF (0–2) on 27 June 2021, and away against Linköping FC (0–2) in the series epilogue on 6 November 2021 and she pulled on two yellow cards. Hedda also sat on the bench in five league matches.
