Hermoso, Paralluelo Brace Lift Spain To Victory Over Former World Champions

The Spanish women’s national team continued its preparation ahead of this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup with a 4-2 win over former World Champions, Norway on Thursday.

Spain had won its previous match and continued to show a good vein of form as Jennifer Hermoso scored the first goal of the encounter in the 17th minute.

UEFA Women’s Champions League all-time top goal scorer, Ada Hegerberg equalised for the Scandinavia side in the 20th minute.

Hermoso restored Spain’s lead two minutes later to give her side a 2-1 halftime lead.

After the interval, Selma Paralluelo scored two goals in two minutes (52nd and 54th minutes respectively) to give Spain a 4-1 lead.

Cesillie Andreassen reduced the deficit with Norway’s second goal in the 86th minute.

Spain will next face China in another friendly match while Norway trade tackles with fellow Nordic side, Sweden.
