The Old Trafford club are in dire need of attacking reinforcement and have identified the Atalanta forward as the ideal man.

Erik Ten Hag appreciates the Dane’s qualities and as per Sky, first contacts have already been made.

The 20 year old has only spent one season in Bergamo but his performances have attracted some of Europe’s top clubs.

In an interview with Berkingske as revealed by Fabrizio Romano, the forward confirmed his switch to SEG, the agency which also represents Ten Hag.

“I have found someone [new agents], but it is on a trial period.” He said.

Asked about the links to Manchester United, Hojlund remained coy but admitted that the club is huge.

“I can’t say anything about that,”

“It’s a huge club, so I must have done something right if it says they want me. My goal is to reach the top shelf, and you can say that Manchester United is. So it will be huge.” Atalanta paid €17.5m to Sturm Graz last summer to secure his services, that price has however more than tripled after just one season in Italy.

Meanwhile…

The agent of Paulo Dybala Jorge Antun has denied reports of a huge offer from Saudi Arabia.

The Roma forward is currently holidaying but news making the rounds have it that the Argentine could be considering the offer from the Middle East.

“Paulo did not speak to anyone, and I did not receive any calls or offers from Saudi clubs. I am responsible for listening to clubs interested in Dybala, and the player is on vacation.” He said in an interview as revealed by @AlbicelesteTalk.

Dybala has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the club should the minor fee attached be met by any foreign club.

He has however revealed in the past few days that a stay at Roma could be the only option at this time.
