How Should Inter Line Up Against Barcelona?

Written By Jacobs Dunga
The Nerazzurri find themselves in a state of imbroglio in the early weeks of the season and Inzaghi has big decisions to make coke Tuesday.
More Details
Simone Inzaghi is presently going through the most delicate period of his Inter tenure as he’s seen his side lose four of their eight games in the league.

The struggling Nerazzurri have also lost one of their two games played in the Champions League.
Having lost each of their last two league games after scoring first in both encounters, Inzaghi’s job could possibly come under threat should they suffer defeat against Barcelona on Tuesday.
The Suning owned club have won just two of their last six games in all competitions, losing the other four.
Barcelona visit the Guiseppe Meazza on Tuesday boasting one of the best away records in European football and hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Bayern Munich in their last group game.
Inzaghi will be saddled with the responsibility of picking a team that’s ready and willing to play for the colours as against the indifferent and lackadaisical approach that has been seen in the last few games.
Samir Handanovic could lose his place as Inter’s starting goalkeeper after the arrival of Andre Onana in the summer. The Cameroonian should be back in goal against Barcelona without doubt following another disappointing showing from Handanovic.
Denzel Dumfries also should be relieved of his duties down the right side to allow room for the more attack minded and pacy Bellanova who could be useful on the break against Barca.
Asllani should retain his place in the absence of Brozovic who is out injured while Skriniar who looks uninspired should be rested in place of Danilo D’ambrosio.
DiMarco alongside Acerbi are the two players who have stood out in times of trouble while Edin Dzeko should lead the line in the absence of Lukaku.
Bastoni, Barella and Calhanoglu should keep their places in the line up against the in form Spanish side.
Inzaghi however has shown overtime that he’s not one to take risks and could possibly stick with some of his trusted but underperforming stars come Tuesday.
Meanwhile…
Lautaro Martinez could miss the game against Barcelona which would serve as a very big blow to the side.
Martinez has proven to be Inter’s best striker since last season but suffered a minor injury to his flexor muscle in the game against Roma.

The Argentine could now be rested in order not to have the injury aggravated which means the underperforming Joaquin Correa could be seen from the start.
Lautaro hasn’t scored a goal for Inter in his last six appearances since finding the net against Cremonese back in August.
