It is not looking good at the moment for Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri after dropping points again over the weekend in their drab 0-0 draw against Genoa at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

More Details

With this result, it means that they’ve just three wins from their last ten matches and consequently, have dropped to third position on the Serie A, three points behind AC Milan in second and eight points behind Roma in 5th place, with 9 games to go.

In fact, there was a report of an altercation between the manager, Massimiliano Allegri and Dusan Vlahovic towards the end of the game after the player received his marching orders, but the Livorno-born tactician continues to insists that he is not worried despite his team’s draw against Genoa, which stretches their winless run.

The Bianconeri are on a downward spiral and could soon be embroiled in the race for the fourth spot in the league. That would be shocking, considering they were at the top of the league standings just weeks ago.

Currently, they are no longer as strong as they were when they were in the mix to become Italy’s champions, and teams no longer worry much about them when they face each other. Juve has lost the fear factor, and that should worry any manager when your team cannot defeat Genoa at this stage of the season.

However, after their game against the Griffin, Allegri was asked if he was worried, and he said; “Today I am satisfied because I saw character, the team fought, they were involved in the match. The 0-0 is disappointing but this is a step forward towards the end of the season. I’m not worried, but we need to score points.” He further added.

Meanwhile…

Francesco Calzona feels Napoli ‘found themselves again’ with the draw against Inter and reveals he’ll use drones to follow training while returning to Slovakia. “We showed heard and pride, only really allowing Inter 10 minutes of domination, and that is a great thing,” Calzona told DAZN in a post match interview.

“We are still a long way off Inter, but this is a side that had won 10 games in a row in Serie A, so it was an excellent performance.” Victor Osimhen was injured and never came off the bench, weakening their attacking potential.

“We tried until the end to win, it was tough because Inter put you on the ropes with their combinations. Perhaps we lacked a little sharpness, but I am still pleased. The team has found itself again.”

The result keeps Napoli In seventh place, but they are only six points off Roma in fifth, which with the expanded tournament next season could be worth a spot in the Champions League.

“Clearly, it has been a tough campaign with three coaches, so not easy for those who joined the squad this season, especially if they came from abroad and had to adapt to Serie A. I see them growing on a daily basis.”

Going out of the Champions League will at least give Calzona the opportunity to get to know his players a little better. “We only had seven training sessions as a whole squad and played seven games in a short space of time. We need to train more to whittle down the gap that still exists with other teams, but there isn’t time. It’s a matter of time.”

However, Calzona won’t be able to train Napoli over the next 10 days, as he must go off to his other job as the coach of Slovakia during the break for international duty. “Members of staff will remain in Naples and I have full faith in them. There won’t be many players left behind either, but I get the images from the drone to follow their training sessions.” He further added.
