“I Don’t Think Atleti Fans Will Ever Forgive Griezmann” – Cerezo

Atlético Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has said that he does not think the fans of the club will forgive Antoine Griezmann for leaving the club two seasons ago to join rivals Barcelona. The Barcelona forward has been reported to be part of a swap deal involving Spanish midfielder Saúl Ñíguez.
Cerezo’s interview was with Europa Press and were reported in Diario AS. Roji Blancos has clarified the comments in AS and said Griezmann is a player for whom he has a lot of adores. The pair has a good personal and working relationship.
Diego Simeone is reportedly a huge admirer of Griezmann, who flourished under the Argentine after moving from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014. The Frenchman played 257 times for the rojiblancos and scored 133 goals.
