There’s probably going to be a lot going on at Napoli in this summer transfer window as most of their players seems to be pushing for a move away from the club, and this could have a huge impact on the work of their new manager, Antonio Conte.

More Details

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, says the Georgian ace wants to leave the Naples club this summer: ‘A Champions League team is the priority.’ It has already been established that Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen will leave and the captain of the side, Giovanni Di Lorenzo is also pushing for an exit.

And now, another Napoli Star, Kvaratskhelia wants to leave this summer, the winger’s agent Mamuka Jugeli reiterated on Sunday. Kvaratskhelia’s representative released an interview with Georgian media Sport Imedi, saying that his client wants to leave Napoli and play in the Champions League next season.

“I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli,” said Jugeli. “We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League.” The winger’s father, Badri, shared the same view: “I don’t want my son to stay at Napoli. They changed three coaches last season, and it’s hard to play in a similar situation.”

Napoli have recently hired Conte as their new head coach, and the former Juventus and Inter tactician has signed a three-year deal with the Partenopei. Only a few months ago, Badri Kvaratskhelia and the player’s agent said very different things. Back in March, the winger’s father said he was convinced Kvara would remain at Napoli beyond the summer.

Napoli are currently in talks to extend Kvara’s contract, but they are not close to reaching an agreement. PSG and Barcelona have been linked with the 23-year-old who is about to enter his third season at the Stadio Maradona, and still has three years remaining on his current deal with the club.

According to Sky, Napoli have already rejected a €100m bid from the French club. The Partenopei will continue working on Kvara’s contract extension and won’t put him on the market. However, the two parties still haven’t reached an agreement.

So the player’s salary remains at around €1.2m per season, one of the lowest in the squad. This has increased Kvaratskhelia’s frustration, given the fact that he’s one of their most important players for the past two seasons and especially because other clubs around Europe are ready to offer him higher wages.

Meanwhile…

AC Milan have reached an agreement to sign Real Madrid defender Álex Jiménez permanently, reports Matteo Moretto. The 19-year-old defender spent the last season on loan at the Stadio Meazza, making his Serie A debut in January in a 3-0 win over Empoli at San Siro.

Jimenez will also have a chance to train and play competitive matches with the first team, starting from the upcoming Serie A season. A separate report from Calciomercato also confirmed that the deal is done and adds that Jimenez will sign a four-year contract, while Real Madrid will keep a buy-back option.Jimenez made five senior appearances with Milan this season, three in Serie A and two in Coppa Italia.
