The 22-year-old goalkeeper was loaned to Galatasaray during the winter transfer window, and the Turkish team has now been drawn in the UEFA Europa League alongside FC Barcelona.

Pena has started in goal for Galatasaray in recent matches, but only while Fernando Muslera has been injured. With a cruciate ligament injury, the veteran Uruguayan has been out for more than a month. But now that he’s back, there’s a good chance that Galatasaray’s long-serving goalie will see new manager Domènec Torrent again.

Pena, on the other hand, has performed well in his games for the Turkish national team and will be eager to contend for a starting spot. Muslera may not be totally fit right away, and there’s a chance the coach will stay with Pea.

Regardless, Pena will play in the Europa League at the Camp Nou. Even if he merely sits on the bench, it will be an interesting experience for the youngster.

A native of Alicante, Peña has been a part of Barcelona’s youth and senior teams for about a decade. However, he has yet to make an appearance at senior level for the Catalans.

According to a fresh rumor, a number of Europe’s top teams are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, although Manchester City is now the frontrunner.

FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain are mentioned as the main competitors to land the Norwegian.

Haaland is said to be weighing making a decision soon, with the intent to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. In fact, it is rumored that he will make a decision in March after talking to his agent and to his family.

City have been on the lookout for a new striker after failing to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur last summer. Pep Guardiola’s men are already one of the world’s best teams, but they could take another level with Haaland.
