Real Madrid extended their winning streak in La Liga to three games with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Getafe but beyond the victory is the Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who’s gradually etching his name into the history books of Los Blancos with his 250th appearance, celebrating it in style with a clean sheet.
The hosts dominated the first half, scoring two goals to secure the win. Jude Bellingham opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 30th minute, before Kylian Mbappé doubled the lead eight minutes later with a well-taken shot from outside the box. Despite some late pressure from Getafe, Real Madrid held on to the lead and secured another three points. The victory moves them closer to La Liga leaders Barcelona.

The Belgian shot stopper celebrated a significant milestone in his career by making his 250th appearance for the club in the match against Getafe. To commemorate this achievement, the club president presented him with a special jersey.

In his seventh season with Real Madrid, Courtois has already secured 161 victories. His exceptional goalkeeping skills have been instrumental in the team’s success, contributing to a remarkable 13 trophies: two Champions League titles, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, three Spanish Super Cups, three La Liga championships, and one Copa del Rey.
Since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, Courtois has made 250 appearances across various competitions.
These include 181 La Liga matches, 51 Champions League matches, seven Copa del Rey matches, seven Spanish Super Cup matches, two Club World Cup matches, and two European Super Cup matches. His most active season as a Real Madrid player was 2021-22, where he participated in 52 matches.
