Speaking to ESPN, Engen described the immediate impact of training alongside some of the world’s best players and how that experience reaffirmed her decision to move to Lyon.
“I had never experienced anything like this, because of the way I train now with these players. My daily practices are very tough,” Engen said.
“In my first week in Lyon I had to do one-vs-one and I saw them lining up to face me. I thought: ‘I think I’m going to improve.’ That’s what I wanted when I decided to come.”
