Injury Time: Sandro Out For Two Weeks, McKennie Out For Two Months Kaio Jorge Out For The Rest Of The Season

Juventus can’t seem to stay away from injury concerns and fears these days following the aftermath of the test on two of the players involved in the clash UEFA Champions League.

The bad news arrives from the infirmary for Juventus with Alex Sandro and Weston McKennie who underwent the usual instrumental tests today to understand the extent of their respective injuries suffered last night during the match against Villarreal.

Sandro was replaced at the start of the second half by Leonardo Bonucci who himself was under watch due to injury. The Brazilian left back is now is confirmed to be out for 10 days due to low-grade lesion of the soleus muscle.

“Due to a blunt trauma suffered during last night’s match against Villarreal, he underwent radiological tests this afternoon at the J | Medical which revealed a low-grade lesion of the soleus muscle of the left leg. His condition will be re-evaluated in 10 days.” Juventus confirmed.

McKennie’s injury looks worse as the Italian international is reported to have broken the second and third metatarsus of his foot and will be out for two months. 

According to Calciomercato, Weston McKennie  also  underwent further investigations at J Medical which confirmed the presence of a compound fracture of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones of his left foot. Recovery times are approximately 8 weeks.

In addition to McKennie ‘s knockout and Alex Sandro ‘s muscle injury , there is other bad news for Juventus and for Massimiliano Allegri who may not even have Kaio Jorge available for a long time.

The 22 year old while playing for the Juventus U-23 in the Serie C against the Pro Patria collapsed to the ground, immediately calling for help and touching his right knee with insistence. 

The rescuers were unable to help him get back on his feet and the 2002-born forward was forced to go out on a stretcher in tears as Compagnon came on to take his place.
