Written By Onyeka Daniel
As it has been reported lately, it looks like current Serie A champions, Inter Milan are getting closer to signing their latest target in the transfer market as they take the final steps for Argentine defender, Tomas Palacios.
More Details
Following the recent meeting between those involved, a deal is expected to be signed next week when the player will arrive for his medicals and put pen to paper. According to the latest reports, the deal will be for €6.5m initially plus bonuses that would take the total fee to €11m, with club legend and current vice president, Javier Zanetti playing a crucial role.

This is because of a threat from a Bundesliga club and this signing would more or less conclude the club’s dealing for incoming players, unless an important member of the team were to depart before the transfer window closes.
In a related development, former Inter defender Milan Skriniar is no longer part of Luis Enrique’s plans at Paris Saint-Germain, and is set to be made available on the transfer market with just a week remaining until the end of the summer window.
The Slovakian was left on the bench for PSG’s 4-1 victory over Le Havre in the opening round of Ligue 1 fixtures last weekend, but has not been called up to the squad to face Montpellier this Friday evening. According to reports in France, the former Nerazzurri centre-back could be made available for transfer with just seven days remaining until the close of the transfer window.
That is despite the fact that he only joined the Parisians last summer, on a free transfer following the expiry of his Inter contract. He was rewarded with a contract that earns him a reported €9m per season in wages, which could turn out to be problematic for PSG if they do try to sell him this late on in the transfer window.

The end of Skriniar’s time with Inter was plagued by injuries, which was also a similar theme during his first season at the Parc des Princes. He did not feature under Simone Inzaghi after mid-February of the 2022-23 season, and then suffered an ankle injury mid-way through the 2023-24 campaign, which limited him to just 24 league outings.
It is highly unlikely that Inter would be trying to sign him, given the way he left the club. For Uruguayan striker Martin Satriano, he has joined Ligue 1 side Lens on loan with an option to buy. Inter confirmed the 23-year-old’s transfer with an official statement on Friday morning.
“FC Internazionale Milano announces that Martín Adrián Satriano Costa will make a move to Racing Club de Lens. The 2001-born forward joins on loan with an obligation to buy.” Satriano spent the last season on loan at another Ligue 1 side, Stade Brestois, scoring ten goals in 52 appearances.
Lens director Pierre Dréossi said: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Martin Satriano to our ranks. Early in his young career, Martin revealed himself as a promising striker in Uruguay. This allowed him to join Inter and continue his development in contact with one of the most successful squads in Europe.

“Martin is a hard worker with convincing experiences in France and Italy to confirm his qualities. This proves his great strength of character. Martin has the profile to fit the club’s DNA perfectly, skilful in front of goal, generous in his effort and deeply focused on the team.” He further added.
