The 2024-25 Serie A season may have ended on a sad note for Inter Milan as they came short by just one point in the Scudetto race, won by Napoli on the last day of the season, but there is still one more match left for the Nerazzurri.

At the end of the month, they will be up against French giants, Paris Saint-Germain in the final of this season’s UEFA Champions league at the Allianz Arena in Munich for a chance to finally win a trophy this season and finally give their fans something to smile about.

Meanwhile, it has now been reported that the UCL final will not be decisive for the future of Simone Inzaghi at the club as they intend to continue with the former Lazio manager for the foreseeable future, but they may have received a well timed boost for that match.
This is after the French club won the Coupe de France, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia pulled out of the game. After Inter’s 2-0 win over Como on Friday, PSG also had the ideal build-up to the game a day later as they crushed Stade Reims 3-0 to win the Coupe de France.
It was thanks to a brace from Bradley Barcola and another before half-time by ex-Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi. That put them on the verge of the Treble, having already won the Ligue 1 title, not to mention the French Super Cup, but there is one concern for the Parisians.
Former Napoli Star, Kvaratskhelia was nowhere to be seen in this big match. Initially, he was named in the starting XI, but then moved to the bench and replaced by Desiré Doué and according to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, Kvaratskhelia’s situation deteriorated.
Furthermore, he went home before the end of the game. With Napoli’s League triumph, it means that the Georgian earned a Scudetto winners medal, as well as winning Ligue 1 with PSG and could be in for more trophy haul, though his presence for the final is now in doubt.
In a related development, the major fan group of Inter, the Curva Nord have hit out at the “embarrassing” handling of tickets for the Champions League final, hence the group announced plans to protest at the club headquarters.
This will be a season-defining match for the Nerazzurri as winning the biggest trophy in Europe could wipe away all the other disappointments of the season and in the previous campaigns. Therefore, the demand for tickets has naturally been high for tickets to the match.

The two teams that reach the final will receive 18,000 tickets each, while the remaining tickets are being offered for sale to fans worldwide by UEFA, and for the Beneamata, they’ve allocated the tickets for the match based on loyalty.
At least, that is how the system is supposed work, but there have been criticisms of the system that has made tickets available. The ultra group argue that the real priority has been to make tickets available to sponsors, and to travel agencies, thereby sidelining them.
The Nord contend that they have not managed to get their share of tickets, despite being among Inter’s most hardcore supporters. Furthermore, they note that they will not be able to display choreography at the final in Munich, disagreeing with this policy.

Therefore, the Curva Nord will stage a fan protest as they confirmed that they will show up at Inter’s headquarters on Monday next week, five days to the fateful day. For Inzaghi, he should be able to count on Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard despite their absence against Como on Friday.
