The former Manchester United defender is a close friend of Messi when playing for Argentina. Hernan Castillo of Continental 590 radio in Argentina claims that Rojo has been contacted by Messi and Tata Martino, the manager of Inter Miami, via phone in an attempt to persuade him to sign with the MLS team.

At 33 years old, Rojo could try to make one more significant move in his career, even if he is now a player for the Argentine powerhouse Boca Juniors.

According to Castillo, Rojo’s services are also being considered by the Brazilian team Palmeiras in addition to the MLS team. In his 61 caps for his nation, Rojo scored three goals, all of which came in important competitions.

Once more, at the 2018 World Cup group stage, Rojo’s game-winning goal against Nigeria sent them narrowly into the knockout stages.

After being signed by Louis van Gaal in 2014 from the Portuguese team Sporting Lisbon, he played for Manchester United for seven years in England, winning four titles during that time. He won the FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League while he was at United.
