The 28 year old joined Inter Milan in January 2022 from Serie A rivals Atalanta after announcing himself to the world with his goalscoring ability from the back.

Gosens was the subject of a surprise move to German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but the move did not happen probably because the Nerazzurri had little time to bring in an adequate replacement.

The Emmerich born player came out last week to speak about the interest from Leverkusen and maintained he’s focused on helping Inter.

However, Inter are hoping that the former Heracles Almelo wingback would relaunch himself at the forthcoming World Cup in Qatar after battling with injuries in the last couple of seasons.

FCInterNews reports that Gosens is still a target for Premier League club Leicester City who had tried to sign him two seasons ago while still at Atalanta.

The operation however is said to depend on the future of current coach Brendan Rodgers who is a known admirer of the player.

Inter regardless hope to cash in on the German who doesn’t really interest head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi has spoken on the latest victory by the Italian national team over their English counterparts on Friday night at the San Siro.

Giacomo Raspadori’s goal was all the Azzurri needed to secure victory and usurp Germany and move to second spot on their Nations League group standings.

Acerbi praised the victory and revealed the squad wanted to pass a positive message to everybody.

“It’s very special to win over England, but we wanted to show that the group was cohesive and that we wanted to do well in front of our audience.” He said to the official microphone of the Azzurri.

The defender was on from start to finish as the Azzurri laboured to victory over the Three Lions. He’ll hope to help the team finish the job on Monday when they travel to Budapest for a top of the table clash against Hungary.
