According to a report from La Repubblica, Juve’s rival, Inter Milan were reportedly offered the chance to sign the Brazilian who is desperate to leave as soon as possible. This is after enduring a miserable first year in Italy as he failed to replicate his exploits at Aston Villa.
It might have earned him a €50m move in the last summer transfer window, but his future now seems far away from Turin, hence, he has been labelled a flop. While Thiago Motta had at least tried to play him when he is fit, it’s a different story with his replacement.
Igor Tudor made it abundantly clear that he has no place in his plans, which has further alienated him from the rest of the squad. Yesterday, the situation reached a new height as he failed to show up on the first day of pre-season without an official leave from the club management.
Hence, he will now be punished and fined for his that and with a future away from Juventus, his agent has been looking to find him a new club. For now, the EPL looks like the most likely destination, the opportunity to continue in the Serie A could now present itself.
This is after Luiz’s agent reportedly met with Inter officials in order to discuss a possible mmov, according to Nicola Balice. However, the Nerazzurri turned down the offer, as they have no place for him at the moment. They’re solely focused on signing Ademola Lookman.
There is an outside chance that Inter could return for Douglas Luiz if they fail to get Lookman as Christian Chivu demanded for an attacking midfielder/ forward which is why they’ve made the Nigerian striker a top priority and have seen their €40m offer rejected.
Meanwhile, the situation has not changed for Lookman, who is maintaining a professional attitude with Atalanta, but also knows that he has Inter in his future as Inter reportedly prepare to increase their offer to around €45m including bonuses, closer to the €50m price tag.

In the last few days, the former Serie A champions have worked out deals to sell Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge and Tajon Buchanan to Villarreal, putting together an additional kitty worth around €20m which will give them the opportunity to increase the proposal for Lookman.
There is a new report that Inter will not go beyond July 31 in their bid to sign the Nigerian forward after seeing their first offer rejected. He might be pushing for a move and has rejected other suitors for the Beneamata, but the player is maintaining a very professional attitude with his current club.
