Sky Italia reports that Inter have reached an agreement with Radja Nainggolan for the termination of his contract.
The contract termination will reportedly free the way for the former Belgium international to move to Sardinia where he will join Cagliari.
Sky reports that Nainggolan will receive around 50% of his salary at Inter as severance pay. He earns a reported €4.5 million per year in a contract that is expected to run out in 2022.
Cagliari has shown interest in bringing the midfielder back to the club for a fifth spell after previous loan spells in 2010, 2019 and 2021 as well as a four-year spell between 2010 and 2014.

Nainggolan joined Inter from Roma in a deal involving cash and the transfer of Nicolo Zaniolo to the capital based club. His time at the club has been filled with injuries and a few controversies. Last season, he was surplus to requirements under manager, Antonio Conte, who led the club to a first Scudetto since 2010.
Besiktas have also shown interest in recent times and have reportedly come forward with a proposal for the former Roma midfielder, however, Cagliari remains his first choice due to his ties with the city.
Inter hope that Cagliari’s move for Nainggolan would soften the Rossoblu’s stance on Nahitan Nandez whom the Nerazzurri are interested in. The club would like to take the Uruguayan midfielder on loan with an option to buy but Cagliari are not keen on that option.
