On the other hand, the club seems to be busy on the exit front as they’ve already sent out Valentin Carboni to Argentine club, Racing Club after his loan spell with Genoa was cut short and for the Nerazzurri, they’re not expected to stop there with at least, two more exits expected this January.

Consequently, the current Serie A leaders are open to selling out-of-favor midfielder Davide Frattesi to Galatasaray or any other interested club as per the player’s wish to leave as he searches for more playing time to boost his chances of going to the World Cup later this year.

After struggling for playing time under Simone Inzaghi, the trend has continued with Cristian Chivu now in charge and according to Corriere dello Sport, two clubs are leading the race for his signature, Galatasaray and Juventus with the Turks currently ahead but they must meet Inter’s demands to get the deal over the line.

Frattesi will not be part of the Nerazzurri squad for tonight’s Serie A clash against Parma as the 26-year-old is struggling with a minor adductor problem, forcing Chivu to leave him out of the team even as his future with the club remains up in the air at the moment.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are reportedly drawing up a formal bid for the former Sassuolo star who has been on the fringes this season, making just one Serie A start. Therefore, he is desperate to get his career back on track, which will probably require a transfer away from the club he joined in 2023.

His desire to leave has strengthened Galatasaray’s ambition to open talks with Inter but the Nerazzurri won’t sell their outcast for less than €35m and the Turkish club who recently tried to sign Hakan Calhanoglu in the summer are ready to offer €5m for a short-term loan with an option to buy for €30m.

This is fine and good for Inter but they will only agree to a loan deal if they secure a mandatory buyout clause as they look to recoup the fee they paid to sign the Roma academy brought whom they signed initially on loan before making the move permanent one year later in 2024.

Another player that is set to leave the club is Kristjan Asllani who is reportedly on the brink of returning to Inter this January after Torino decided to cancel his loan. Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has ruled the 23-year-old out of their project going forward.

Furthermore, the club have already informed the player of their decision to send him back to San Siro but there’s no place for Asllani in Chivu’s plans for the second half of the season so he is expected to leave the club almost immediately and could be used to get a transfer target this Inter.

In their bid to sign Cancelo, Inter tried to include a player in the deal but the player’s wish to join Barcelona prevailed and now, Inr could still use Stefan de Vrij as a counterpart in another deal and now, Asllani has added to the equation as a makeweight in any negotiations.

With less than six months left to run on his contract at San Siro, De Vrij will leave the club anyway but Inter are reluctant to let him leave this January unless if it becomes absolutely necessary or they can use him to get another player, just like Asllani with reports that Fiorentina’s Dodo could become a target for the wingback role.

Amidst reports the the Beneamata could abandon their bid to sign a right wing-back this January after Cancelo joined Barca, Inter could revisit that decision by making a move for Dodo this January and to entice Fiorentina, they will look to add Asllani in the deal to reduce the transfer fee.
