The 27 year old came off the back of a controversial summer that saw Inter putting him up for sale in order to reach capital gains to PSG failing to reach the Italian club’s valuation.
Eventually, due to a disagreement over the player’s value between the Italian club and the Parisians, the Nerazzurri withdrew the Slovak from the market and are now offering him a new contract.
There had been initial agreement for the Inter defender to renew before the interest from France changed the whole conception.
Inter after these few days of rediscovering themselves are now confident of approaching their player with a new deal worth €6.5m annually and the chance to take up the armband on a permanent basis as per Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
Talks should begin in the coming days and if anything, it should end on a positive note due to the payer’s allegiance towards Inter as reiterated severally in the past.

Inter Milan are now one leg into the Champions League knockout stages for the second time in a row.
The Nerazzurri put up a class performance on Wednesday night at the Camp Nou as they secured a 3-3 draw to leave themselves needing a victory against Viktoria Plzen in Milan to seal qualification.

Second half goals from Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez and Robin Gosens were enough for Inter to secure their first ever point at the Camp Nou in six visits.
It would be the first time since 2012 that Inter have reached the knockouts in consecutive seasons should they finally secure passage into the last 16.
The last few games have brought a whole new wave to the team after starting the season unconvincingly especially in the Serie A.
