Inter’s Injury Worries Continue As Dzeko And Bastoni Miss Out Of Their Respective International Commitments

Inter Milan forward, Edin Dzeko in his recent Instagram post opened up on the situation concerning his fitness before Bosnia’s 3-1 defeat to Finland.

Dzeko suffered a muscular injury while playing for the Nerazzurri in the Milan derby, but travelled for International duties nonetheless after the Bosnia national team’s request to verify the extent of his injury.
The Bosnian earlier today revealed before the game he is not ready be involved in matches thereby causing worry for his club in Italy who are hoping to have their top striker return for the top of the table clash against Napoli.
“Despite the great desire and efforts of the medical staff, we have still failed in our joint efforts to be ready for the match against Finland. of strength for a favorable result. I invite the fans to support the boys together, like never before, because they really need support and I am sure this will give them more strength for the best result on the pitch!
Good luck guys, let’s go win. We can do it together!” Dzeko wrote.
Dzeko has scored 8 goals in his 16 appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri, 7 of which are from his 12 league appearances.

The injury worries for Inter Milan will not just stop in the attack as Alessandro Bastoni left the Italian national team retreat.
The centre-back was not listed for Friday’s 1-1 draw against Switzerland and now, Bastoni will have to return to Milan for a proper check on his physical condition. This means the 22 year-old will miss Italy’s trip to Northern Ireland in what is a must win game if the Azzurri are to qualify for the World cup in 2022 without going through the rigour of the playoff.
Inter will assess his physical condition in view of the resumption of the championship against Napoli, scheduled for Sunday 21 November at San Siro.
Bastoni has been a regular in the three man defence of Simone Inzaghi. He has only missed a game in the league this season and has featured in all of the Champions League matches this season.
