More Details
They lost 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano, dropping them back into the relegation zone. If Getafe loses to Elche on Monday night, they will enter the El Gran Derbi against Real Betis in 18th place. With a 13-point margin to boot, Betis will enter the weekend in the fourth slot that Sevilla had claimed in prior seasons.
Sevilla will be missing Isco, their top summer signing, which will only make problems worse. The former Real Madrid player collected his fifth caution of the season and will miss the Benito Villamarin derby.
Fernando Reges and Youssef En-Nesyri, who were absent from the Rayo game over the weekend, will be evaluated by manager Jorge Sampaoli for their health.
In the event that Sevilla loses, Los Nervionenses will once more feel pessimistic. Even though Sampaoli seemed to be making progress, he has only managed to defeat Real Mallorca and Copenhagen twice.

Meanwhile…
Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli would probably have discussed possible reinforcements with Sporting Director Monchi in January, but he may have a familiar face join him at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Lucas Ocampos, who joined Ajax on loan in August, has not contributed to Alfred Schreuder’s team. Only once as a starter, the Argentine has made just six appearances.
Ocampos has so far played 19 minutes on average each appearance, although he hasn’t scored or assisted. Ocampos has also not been seen in the Eredivisie since the first of October.
