Isco’s Release Clause Set At €20m After Signing New Deal At Real Betis To Open Door For Future Transfer

Isco Alarcon has undoubtedly been among the top players in La Liga this year. After spending six months as a free agent, the former Real Madrid midfielder joined Real Betis in the summer of last year and he has frequently been the difference-maker for Los Verdiblancos.
More Details
This was undoubtedly the case on Saturday at the Benito Villamarin as his goal secured a 1-0 victory over Granada. Isco has been embraced by Betis fans since his arrival, and he has also developed a deep affection for the team.
Isco’s previous contract with Betis expired at the conclusion of the season, thus it was revealed last month that he had signed a new one. It’s interesting to note that Diario AS reports that his current release clause is only €20 million, compared to €10 million in his prior deal.
While there’s no denying that this is a great deal for a player at the prime of his game right now, Real Betis fans need not worry because even if another club activates the release clause, Isco is likely to reject any approaches because he gave the impression that he was dedicated to the team.
Meanwhile…
In the upcoming months, Real Madrid will need to make a lot of contract decisions, like they have for the past few seasons. Since the contracts of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez, and Lucas Vazquez expire in the summer, it’s possible that this may be their last season with the team.
The futures of Modric, Vazquez, and Kroos are far from assured; in the end, it will be up to the German midfielder whether or not he wants to play on. As he has demonstrated often this season, he plans to retire at the top of his game.

Not only does Kroos have a “life contract” with Real Madrid, but Nacho also has one, according to Marca. The 33-year-old has spent his whole playing career with Los Blancos, mostly serving as a backup. But he has been a consistent starter because of Eder Militao’s and David Alaba’s long-term ailments.
It’s as simple as that: Nacho will get a contract extension if he requests one. That choice, though, won’t be made for a while because the defender wants to give his whole attention to Real Madrid’s on-field concerns, beginning with Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup final.
