Postecoglou, who was brought in as Antonio Conte’s permanent replacement and immediately made an impression in North London, is reportedly one of the candidates to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Although the owners have been aware of the long-serving head coach of the Reds since November and have been working to find a suitable replacement since then, the coach said last month that he plans to step down at the end of the current campaign.

Spurs were reportedly worried about losing Postecoglou to Liverpool, according to a recent article. The 58-year-old was questioned about these claims during Friday’s pre-match press conference.

In response to the question of whether he finds connections with the Anfield position flattering, Postecoglou—quoted by Sky Sports News—admitted that he has no desire to chase after rumours, saying: “It all depends. If it is just people throwing up names then who cares? Like seriously, it doesn’t matter.

“At the end of the day If I am doing a good job then it means that people will acknowledge that in one form or another, whatever that form is. So-called chat? Really? It is of no interest to me.”

Jadon Sancho has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2023–24 campaign.

Two and a half years have passed since the England international permanently switched to the Red Devils, who paid £73 million for his services in the summer of 2021.

“Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season,” the Red Devils said in a statement. “The England international of 23 caps leaves with our best wishes for the remainder of this season.”
