To top it, longstanding Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, who left the Los Blancos at the start of the season due to contractual disagreement with club president, Florentine Perez, joined PSG and is in line to face his former club when the two teams file out for their UCL encounter.
Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos in an interview with TVE about the Real Madrid vs PSG clash and the possibility of facing Ramos, who spent more than 15 years with Real Madrid and won many trophies, including the history back to back to back UCL triumph.
“He wasn’t just a teammate, he was my captain,” Kroos said. “It’s going to be a little weird to play against him.” He further added.
Ramos has endured a difficult beginning to his career at the Parc des Princes due to injury, but is beginning to hit form recently and even scored in their last match and should the French club have any hope of keeping the Madrid forward quiet and also progress to the next round, they would need all the experience that Ramos has to offer.
Meanwhile…
Sergio Ramos has revealed that he talked to Lionel Messi and Neymar before making his move to PSG. Ramos joined the French club as a free agent after his contract with Real Madrid expired.

Speaking PSG official website, the Spanish defender talked about those he reached out to before joining the club, “[The process of signing for PSG] was fine,” he said. “Before signing my contract I had already talked to the other players, including Lionel Messi, Keylor [Navas], who’s like a brother. We had already talked about it before. Also with Neymar and other teammates. The reception has been extraordinary, making my adaption much easier.”
It should be recalled that both Lionel Messi and Neymar played for Real Madrid rival, Barcelona hence, a bit of rivalry was expected to be between them but this shows that everything ends on the field and they might have even be great friends off the field.
