Rodriguez struggled to impress manager Inigo Perez, with midfielders Oscar Trejo and Isi Palazon consistently favored in the starting lineup. According to reports in Marca, Rayo and Rodriguez have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. To facilitate the separation, Rodriguez reportedly waived the “promotional part” of his contract, estimated to be around €1.2 million.
