The gaffer says that his opponent despite the superior head to head advantage over them will surely make things difficult for his wards

“Real Madrid is a team that has a very clear idea. Tomorrow they will surely try to make things difficult for us. All the energy we have is thinking about what we have to do to make tomorrow’s game go well. In football, there are many nuances and things that don’t depend on your team or decisions. In the end, there is an opponent and all assessments have to be done afterward.”

Both sides will clash at the Pabellon de la Cuidad del Futebol 1 in their latest encounter leading to the quarter-final of the 2021/2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League later this year.

The Supercup is such a trophy that Giráldez will want to win as his first title after taking over from treble-winning Lluís Cortés who currently manage the Ukrainian women’s national team.

“Last season was not perfect because of the Supercup. We were superior but we didn’t win. Winning the Supercup would be a prize for the season we are having. We take the league game as a reference, but every game is a different story.” He concluded.
