United States’ midfielder, Weston McKennie could be set for a transfer from Italian Serie A club, Juventus, according to a report from transfer market expert, Gianluca Di Marzio.

The American arrived at Juventus last summer from German club, Schalke 04, a club where he spent four years. He was a regular for the Turin based club under former manager, Andrea Pirlo, making 34 four appearances in the league with five goals to his name.

The 2020 Serie A champions have however added Italian midfielder, Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo and could still make a move for Barcelona’s Bosnian midfielder, Miralem Pjanic, which could mean that McKennie’s Italian adventure will come to an end.

McKennie cost the Old Lady around €18.5 million with bonuses that could go as high as €6.5 million in what was an initial loan move. His contract, which was made permanent before the last campaign came to an end, runs until 2025 so it could take a substantial offer to price him away from the Italian club.

Although Di Marzio fails to list the clubs interested in the American, offers have reportedly arrived for the 22-year-old, mostly from outside of Italy, and Juventus are believed to be prepared to sell if they find an offer that meets the club’s valuation of the midfielder.

Premier League club, Aston Villa, were rumored to be interested last summer, while a return to Germany cannot entirely be ruled out, however, in the next few days, something concrete could come up.

Juventus defender, Radu Dragusin, could be joining Cagliari on a two-year loan in the coming days.

The Romanian, who features mostly for the Bianconeri under-23 side has made one appearance for the Juventus senior side and is considered one of the brightest prospects from the under-23 team.

However, with the presence of Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs De Ligt and Daniele Rugani at the club, it’s hard to see how the 19-year-old would get regular playing time so a temporary move away from the club seems like the best solution in order for the player to continue his development.

IlBianconero reports that there will be no option to buy included in the deal, while the player and his entourage are open to the idea of moving to another club.
