In the last summer transfer window, he was actively courted by Roma, the club where he grew up from but Inter’s price tag was considered too high and now, the player is attracting the interest of another Serie A club, Juventus but it’s not as straightforward as it seems due to his €35m transfer fee.
After rumors of a possible swap that would have seen Khephren Thuram move in the other direction as Frattesi is well appreciated by new Juventus manager, Luciano Spalletti but that route has been shut firmly as the Bianconeri came out to debunk them through Giorgio Chiellini.
Now, another opportunity could present itself to allow the two clubs to do business which will not involve spending a lot of money either and the plan is to give the Nerazzurri another player entirely, either now or later in the summer while they sign Frattesi on loan this January.
It is well known that the former Serie A champions are in desperate need of defenders and one of the names that has been proposed Sassuolo defender, Tarik Muharemovic and after Italian transfer expert, Alfredo Pedulla practically ruled out a move to San Siro for the player, Inter could now be the favorite.
While Inter remain keen on adding to their defensive options in January, they’re prioritizing a move for a new wingback and this is because they must find a dependable replacement for Denzel Dumfries after Luis Henrique failed to meet expectations.
However, Inter’s backline is likely to undergo a comprehensive overhaul at the end of the season with Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Stefan de Vrij have entered the final year of their contracts at San Siro and they’re all expected to leave at the end of the season.
With that in mind, Inter must sign a new center-back, with Muharemovic emerging as a potential target but Juventus retain a 50% sell-on clause on the player and Pedulla is confident that Inter will not try to land the 22-year-old but they will definitely strike if the opportunity presents itself.
With the Bianconeri highly interested in Frattesi and Spalletti really keen to work with him again, Inter could propose a deal that would see them acquire Muharemovic either now or later in the summer in exchange for Frattesi but that would also involve them dealing with Sassuolo who hold the other 50%.

In a related development, according to Gazzetta, Kenan Yildiz wants to become the highest-paid player at Juventus and receive guarantees about the club’s big ambitions in the coming years before he can agree to sign a new contract with the club, amidst growing interest from top European clubs.
The Old Lady are expected to resume talks to extend Yildiz’s contract in the coming weeks, particularly now that they’re set to hire a new sporting director, Marco Ottolini. Yildiz’s contract runs out in June 2029, but the Turkish star has become a key player in Turin, so both parties feel that a new deal is necessary.
According to the report, the two parties last touched base at the end of October, right before Igor Tudor’s dismissal but there was no agreement. Yildiz currently earns €1.7m per season, but his target is to become the highest-paid player in the team with a salary of at least €6m, the same as Jonathan David.
The offer on the table Is between €4m and €5m per season, plus bonuses tied to personal and team-related targets and there’s a gap of circa €1m between the club’s offer and the player’s demands, but Yildiz also wants guarantees regarding the club’s long-term project and ambitions.

The 20-year-old has scored six goals and provided six assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season and he could easily double what Juve is offering by moving to the EPL where Chelsea and Arsenal are waiting while Barcelona continue to monitor the situation too.
