North Carolina junior forward Kate Faasse has been named the winner of the 2024 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy at the MAC’s annual banquet.

More Details

Faasse (Phoenix, Ariz.) led the Tar Heels with 44 points behind her nation-leading 20 goals and four assists as North Carolina captured its 23rd NCAA National Championship and first national title since 2012.

Faasse had four goals and three assists during the NCAA Tournament.

She netted the game-winner in the quarterfinals and semifinals while dishing out the game-winning assist in the third round while picking up United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America honors.

This year’s runners-up for the women’s award were Duke University graduate forward Maggie Graham (Atlanta, Ga.) and Wake Forest University junior forward Caiya Hanks (Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i).

The MAC Hermann Trophy, a 10-pound crystal soccer ball awarded annually since 1967, honors the United Soccer Coaches National Players of the Year in NCAA Division I men’s and women’s soccer based on voting conducted by member coaches.

Established in 1903, the Missouri Athletic Club is a private social, business, athletic, and dining club with locations in Downtown St. Louis and Town and Country in West St. Louis County.
