After England’s 3-1 loss to Senegal on Tuesday night, Roy Keane suggested that Ivan Toney will be “fuming” with England manager Thomas Tuchel.

More Details

This defeat marked Tuchel’s first loss at the helm for England, with the team being booed off the pitch at The City Ground.

Despite Harry Kane scoring an early goal for England in the seventh minute, Senegal quickly equalized before halftime through Ismaila Sarr, who connected with Nicolas Jackson’s cross to beat Dean Henderson.

After a sluggish start to the second half, England conceded a goal to Senegal’s Habib Diarra in the 62nd minute.

While former Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy’s impressive saves preserved Senegal’s lead, Jude Bellingham’s apparent equalizer for England was overturned by VAR after it was determined Levi Colwill handled the ball during the play.

Senegal secured their victory in the 90th minute with a brilliant counter-attack culminating in a goal by Cheikh Sabaly. Meanwhile, Toney remained on the bench for the 1-0 win against Andorra and was subbed in during the 88th minute of the loss to Senegal.

Roy Keane believes Ivan Toney, who had a stellar first season with Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli by scoring 30 goals, will be disappointed by Thomas Tuchel’s decision.

‘The other subs had a bit of an impact, better than the other day [against Andorra], so that’s a bit of a plus,’ Keane told ITV.

‘But if you’re Toney and you’re getting three, four, five minutes, do you know what you’d be fuming.’
