The Reds defeated West Ham 5-1 on Wednesday to go to the Carabao Cup semifinals, highlighted by a number of standout performances from players.

The next match for Klopp’s team is a top-tier matchup against title rivals Arsenal, with a win allowing second-place Liverpool to pass the league leaders.

This season, Liverpool and Arsenal seem to be the two biggest favorites for the Premier League crown, and Klopp anticipates a difficult matchup with the Gunners.

‘We feel good after that game [against West Ham] of course but we know we are going to play probably the strongest team in the Premier League, Arsenal,’ Klopp told the BBC.

‘They are really physically strong. They didn’t get worse with Declan [Rice] in the team, let me say it like that!

‘Really strong and it will be a difficult and different game and we have to make sure it is difficult for Arsenal as well. I am looking forward to it. Maybe Ryan [Gravenberch] will be back. Besides that, it is not a full squad that we have. But now going through these games, we are back on track.’

Meanwhile…

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
