Kylian Mbappé deadline set amid $140m offer and Liverpool ‘chance’

Written By: Abidoye Babatunde

As we head into 2024, Liverpool will no doubt be over the moon with the position it currently finds itself in. The Reds sit top of the pile in the Premier League, and are still in the running for four trophies this season.

A return to the Champions League now looks to be very likely at the halfway mark, putting last season’s disappointment firmly behind them. The 3-1 defeat at Brentford that begun 2023 now feels a long way back in history.

Arsenal can reclaim the top spot on Sunday as it takes on Fulham before Liverpool faces Newcastle at Anfield on Monday, and it seems the Gunners are looking to fix a big hole in its squad next month. Mikel Arteta was left to rue his side’s missed chances during the midweek defeat to West Ham.

Here, Liverpool.com takes a scan around the other big sides in the Premier League and around Europe to take a look at the news going on at the other clubs.

Real Madrid sets Kylian Mbappé deadline
