La Liga Make Outrageous Request Over Kylian Mbappe As Barcelona Consider Alternative To Kounde

When French striker, Kylian Mbappe decided to shun the advances of European and La Liga champions, Real Madrid to renew his expiring contract with PSG, everyone thought that was the end of the saga.

But it didn’t end there, as Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez had accused the Parisians of brainwashing the player and the La Liga body took it a step further by filing charges against the French club.

Their request can be described as outrageous, to say the least, as they ask the court to nullify Mbappe’s contract with the French club, on the ground of breaching the financial fair play rules.

La Liga president, Javier Tebas has been very open in his criticism of the Kylian Mbappe contract renewal with PSG. This is uncharted territory in the world of football and it could help shape the future of the sport, depending on the outcome of this petition.

PSG, who won the French Ligue 1 title last season, but failed to impress in Europe, will be starting their title defense on the 5th of August away to Clermont, while hoping to better their performance in Europe after another disappointing campaign when they were knocked out by Real Madrid in the knockout stages.
