Laporta Talks About Barca’s Plans To Meet Financial Obligations

Written by Onyeka Daniel

Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, seems to be sure of reaching the club’s target before the new season begins as he recently outlined his plans to make this happen.

Due to going over the wage gap set for clubs by La Liga, Barcelona have been unable to sign their talisman Lionel Messi to a new contract and can’t even register the players they signed for the club too with many fans starting to get worried about the whole situation.

Laporta has now come out to allay their fears in a recent interview. He said the club has now approached all the players to talk about reducing their salaries to help the club through their difficulties while there is also the need to offload one of the top earners at the club so as to be able to accommodate Messi’s contract.

“All the players in the team are helping with the salaries” Laporta recently told Mundo Deportivo, with reports stating that some players are willing to reduce their salaries while some aren’t convinced by the club’s plea.
