Laxalt Leaves AC Milan, Joins Dynamo Moscow

Diego Laxalt has left last season’s Serie A runners up, AC Milan to join Russian Premier League side, Dynamo Moscow.

The 28-year-old Uruguayan player joined AC Milan from Genoa in 2018 but spent the last two seasons on loan at Torino and Celtic respectively has put pen to paper for the Russian club on a permanent basis.

“Milan announces that Diego Sebastián Laxalt Suárez is set to join FK Dynamo Moscow on a permanent deal, starting 1 July 2021. The Club would like to thank Diego for his professionalism and wishes him all best for his personal and professional future,” a statement on Milan’s official website read.

The Uruguayan left-back was bought for around €18m but he struggled to break into the Milan first team. He played 35 games in all competitions for the Rossoneri and spent a good part of his time with the Red and Black on loan away from the club.

The deal is expected to cost the Russian club around €3.5 million.
