Leah Williamson Signs New Contract With Arsenal

Barclays English FA Women’s Super League (WSL) leaders, Arsenal FC Women have announced that Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with the club.

The new deal means that Leah will continue her journey with the club that she’s proudly called home since joining at the age of nine.

The 24-year-old player worked her way up through the academy ranks before making her first-team debut in 2014.

She has since established herself as a key figure in the team, delivering commanding performances in defence and becoming a true fan favourite.

Leah has made 179 appearances and scored 13 goals to date, helping the club to win the 2018/2019 Barclays FA Women’s Super League, two Continental Tyres League Cups, and two Women’s FA Cups.

She has also received 24 caps for the England senior side, captaining the team on four occasions.

Italian Serie A Women side, ACF Fiorentina has announced that it has acquired the rights to the sports performances of the Swedish footballer Ronja Othilia Gunilla Aronsson.

Born on December 20, 1997, Ronja is a defender and joined the club from the Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Linkopings.

She grew up as a footballer in Pitea where she played until 2019, she played for Linkopings in 2020 scoring a goal in 31 appearances.

The player will play for Fiorentina until 30 June 2022 with an option for the following season.
