The Foxes are hoping the American can repeat his Elland Road rescue act where he took over from Marcelo Bielsa and kept Leeds in the top flight against all the odds. Leicester have a real fight in their hands to escape relegation after they were defeated by Bournemouth today ensured they’re still rooted at 19th position on the EPL table with 8 games left until the end of the season.

Marsch had reportedly turned down an approach from Southampton to replace Nathan Jones in February because the Saints were only prepared to offer him a deal until the end of the season. It’s understood that Leicester and Marsch have agreed a contact for the rest of the current campaign plus another three years.

His appointment will mean that the time of interim managers, Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell has come to an end after just two games and two defeats which has left the 2021 FA Cup winners in the bottom three.

Following the 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth, Sadler insisted: “I am not going to speculate on a new manager. What the club decide is their prerogative.”

Tottenham have added the name of Brentford coach, Thomas Frank to their list of possible replacement for the recently sacked Antonio Conte. Under Frank, the Bees have been flying high this season after gaining promotion from the championship last season and it is expected that his good work will attract the interest of top clubs sooner or later.

When asked about rumours linking him with the Tottenham job, he had these to say; “I’m also just a human being, so of course it’s nice and flattering. “But I have to focus on Brentford and I’m insanely happy to be here. I say that constantly to my staff and my players.

Managers are being fired everywhere, so it is an indication that it’s not working. I really appreciate being at Brentford.” Daniel Levy has handed the reins to Cristian Stellini until the end of the season, but a new manager will have to come in this summer. Frank is reportedly an option.
